I have been remiss here but I was trying to figure out how to share our 3 week vacation to Ireland. I am just going to let it flow and see what we get. I want to share it all but we did so much and saw so many different types of places. We had beaches, churches, towns, golf courses, sheep, castles and graveyards. We went to a brewery and not Guinness. We had a great time.
The trip started at 4AM Georgia time and we drove to Orlando, Fl to catch a flight to JFK, NY. I was so excited about being in Orlando, even if it was just the airport. I was close to Shamu and Mickey. I knew Disney World was close. Someday I will get there. Then off to NY. N E W Y O R K, OMG! Ok we didn’t leave the airport but I was there. Didn’t see any of the high rise buildings from the plane. Left JFK at 7 PM and landed in Shannon, Ireland at 5 AM.
Got our rent a car and started driving to the cottage. We were staying down in Castlegregory, Kerry, Ireland. it is located on the southwest corner of Ireland. castlegregorykerry.com We stay in a cottage that we rent from Kerry Cottages. http://www.kerrycottages.com My folks have been staying here for years. We had a nice 5 bedroom cottage, that is actually the owners holiday home. It is a beautiful house and we had the master suite because we were the youngest in the house and could climb the stairs.

These are the pictures of the cottage and the grounds. BenJamin was climbing all over the rocks.
After the long flight we just stayed near the cottage the first day. We did go to the store in Castlegregory for essentials, beer and Diet Coke. We shopped at the Spar market. www.spar.ie .
What is great about grocery shopping in Ireland is that they have soft serve ice cream. I also like all the pastries they have out all day. I usually got an apple crisp. I love fresh pastry.
That was day one and an introductory to our trip. There is lots to come.
Next is Dingle Penninsula
